It's a weird year. 2009 I will bid goodbye to with great joy; although it had some wonderful things, they were set against a backdrop of ugly personal non-growth.
But it's strange. December, and the lemon tree is blooming, the squashes are growing, and the basil and pepper (bell and jalapeno) are both flowering. The tomatoes are even ripening, it's going to be an odd winter. 2 weeks to Solstice, and the winter slowdown has hit, both personally and professionally.
It's hard in the current environment to remember that spring will come, and the economic storm will pass. I don't think we've seen the worst of the storm, yet, though. But if we stick together, sing along, and keep the cards moving, we'll get through.

The first wave of the storm came, with a killing frost, and while thelemo still blooms, the frost killed the other plants. I have three bags of green tomatoes in the kitchen.
Here's a really good story, not happy, but good:

Thought: If cheap fusion had been invented/found, we'd be paying power bills based on waste heat more than on material generation costs.
Thought: In a generation, power lines will be an anomaly between small generators and energy efficient devises. Or, they would, if they weren't so fully vested. Perhaps 3 generations.
The Android phone excites me; open source and more tools and hardware. Penguins in space, almost. Now I'm looking for WideEye glasses, or perhaps I should just make some of my own.
Too many thoughts in the head.
