Or, well, what's in my head.

1. Class is eating my brain. Beyond it? I have no idea. Some minor events. Perhaps join the Peace Corps. I don't know.

2. Events. The mainline SCA just isn't working for me, due to a combination of foo, and barring that, the deadly repetitiveness of most of it. And, beyond that, the sadness of going to old places and finding imitations--sorry, Westermark, after Gerhardt left it was never the same; we came back a little...

3. So, I want to do several non-mainline events, SCA and otherwise. Yes, I know this is my modus operandi. I do it well. And if I don't, I help others do it well. I want to:
A) Finally have music and dancing and a little bit of a masque and wine and food under a full moon. We have all the pieces, I just need to look at the moon for a bit.
B) Viking Thing. Start the day off with some porrage and fish, then in honor of Karl (Charles), have a polearm list, an althing, axethrowing, recital of Beowulfric, wrestling, archery, and Viking Stickball (I'll take Hurley) then have a norse feast, complete with mead. Then sleep like Snorri Pillowslaughter! Let the Tent Ring with our snores!
C) Lake Stow Poetry read. These were held by the BGACG for a while, I'd like to do it again.

aaargh the library computer wants to kick me off

D) Knight errant quest: 20 fighter practices in a month.

that's all for the moment...

But I'm proud of my class.

I always enjoyed the Stow Lake/Golden Gate Park event. It has even inspired my own poetry.
I would wear a Regency dress with the poem "Daffodils" by Wordsworth printed on it, and I would always recite that poem. Now it's one of my favorites, even without the dress schtick.

We would go rowing around the lake, and then meet in the Chinese Pagoda, all the while picnicing and reading poetry. It used to be done often, I think the last one was in '06.
When one belongs to many living history groups, it is hard to find a weekend without a conflict.
