The fool on the hill, clothes in rags, dog at heels, not knowing where he steps.
Still better than the hermit in his cell, or worse, the prisoner of consumer chains, media to the fore, the amusing bells of the internet jingling away.
Hard to write about, hard to write so scattered. On Saturday the golden opportunity to go to Mahala's wake is too good to miss, and by the grace of Jeannie and Dave I can stay up here for the week in between, but the general hollowness of my life is shown. Nothing to do but think and not do, and it's doing that makes the change I need to be.
Walked around the Pike's Place market; it isn't just tourist trap, had a good BiBapBim and bought a card, watched them make cheese, and walked up the street (and hill) to the motherlode: Nordstrom Rack in the heart of Seattle--where I found a pair of dancing shoes. Very high quality, inexpensive. The weather is beautiful, and people are nice.
Quick Overview:
Weight and Health: 370, and I'm not recovered from the leg wound yet because I haven't done the rehab, but it's homebrew rehab. No physical goal otherwise than feel better.
Emotional: Disconnected, in general, not feeling any of the roles. Stuck between being a teacher and being a tech worker.
Financial: Need a job better than substitute teaching..

Date: 2010-10-09 04:22 pm (UTC)On an entirely different note I am crazy about bebimbap. I could eat it every day, and at one time in my life (Pittsburgh, PA) I often did. It was my comfort food.
I'm trying to get up to five pushups as well. It's just hell. hugs!
