BFD!

Had the last free meal before selling my soul to thinnness or at least BFL, and it was FABULOUS. Took Mom and relatives to Ciao Bella in Ben Lomond--had the calimari appetizer, pasta, salad, and zab--grabbed the bill. Kurt got them to do an extra entertainment for my Mom.

Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we diet.

Mmmmm! Sounds yummy!...y'know...if you give yourself permission to have a designated day when you can have a special meal, or just allow yourself one bite of something yummy, it makes the whole diet thing a lot more palatable. Remember, Splenda is your friend. And Breyers (not Dreyers) makes the best low-carb ice cream (it's called "Carb Smart").

So what does BFL stand for, anyway?

I beg to differ. Silhouettes Skinny Cow low or non-fat ice-cream things are fabulous. The mint is to die for.

good luck!

Haven't seen/heard of it. Is it no-sugar-added, or just low- or non- fat? We diabetics need the no-sugar-added type.

Went and looked -- their website is here.

Good luck! I started back on low (as no processed sugar as I can get) sugar diet again, now that I'm back into belly dancing. I lost weight last time with that combo. And trying to eat smarter. Not trying to diet, per se. Trying more for the longer changes that I should be doing. Nuts as snacks at my desk and in my car... Veggies occasionaly. Fruits too...

Trying to get back into the daily groove of belly dance practice again too... Not there yet. I should really, truly start a century to give myself something to aim for... We'll see!

Hope you enjoyed dinner with your family! And hopefully this weekend turned out on a higher note for you! ^_^

And my favorite variation on that so far is:

Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we feast!

Diet shouldn't be able matyrdom or suffering.

Even when I was on Atkin's I was able to find pretty cool things to enjoy eating. Same for the evil Body For Life. It's about controlling your eating, not chowing down on cardboard and nails. :-)
