Wow.

People believe the thing that's most convenient for their world view. It's like the people who want to deny the Holocaust. The facts do not matter if it's not useful or beneficial to them.

I fear that at some point we all go off the cliff together because of this attitude. Eg, environmental measures are being turned back for short term financial gains. I believe there is a tipping point where the environment cannot be rescued from abuse/neglect and all of us will suffer regardless of how we voted or what we thought. I feel very helpless to drive change but I'm unwilling to stop trying.
