Ash Wednesday Hedonistic Housewarming Party and Tea!

If you can read this...you're invited! On Ash Wednesday, February 25th, my new roomate (Chris) and I will be hosting a Hedonistic Housewarming Party and Tea. It will start at 7 PM at Chez John (899 Cedar Ave, Sunnyvale CA 94086 650 464 7477) We will provide a space, many kinds of tea(1), and interesting activities*. It's the end of Mardi Gras. Wear clothes that you feel sexy (or good) in. Chris likes lots of people who feel good about feeling good about themselves.

Bring leftover Mardi Gras things, if you wish.
Yes, we know it's a Wednesday, and an SCA dance party...it's what worked.

(1) Possibly Long Island Iced. If there's a wish for it.
*don't know completely what yet. The Twister game is somewhat out, we think. Dancing pretty much for sure, and other such things as strike our fancy. Probably some simple table games as well.
** Show up early and you'll be put to work.

Hedonism?

What's your theory on babies at parties such as this? He'll be a bit over 1 (by 2 days!), cute, crawling, and high maintenance. He likes tea, but prefers apple juice. He has never seen serious dancing, but I expect he'd enjoy it.

We totally understand that some parties are just not baby-friendly. Just let us know about yours.

Btw, FYI, this isn't locked & appears to be available to anyone reading LJ.

OK, since this post hasn't disappeared I'm going to assume my invite still stands...

Would you like me to bring anything? I have some folding chairs that I could bring that sometimes prove useful.

Hmmmm.....Yes. That sounds lovely. I will be curious to see how many Catholics you lure out for a little bit of wildness on the first day of Lent.

A few...
