Quick Precis: Went to set off to Mendocino, choosing to spend time that way. Need to stop and buy a little food, and a map. Pack stuff, making a virtue of disorganization by taking less stuff thereby, and head to the farmer's market for some basic food. Park illegally.

Go, shop, come back with bags full of food. Motorcycle is there. Tank bag is there. Keys are in the ignition (on). Repeat: Everything is still there. I am Fortune's Fool! Policeman motors by, and waves! Truely, fortune!

Load motorcycle with food. Mount. Start. Wait, battery out of juice. Push one mile home. Put on charger.

And now, exercised, and given a lesson in taking care of small things, off we go!

Hm. Must ride my bike more. Check tire inflation and make sure gears are still happy with me. (The weather is perfect for bike rides. Maybe by the lake with my sister. Must call now! Hee!) Have fun in Mendocino!
