Warm up to sweat, slam the weights, then do the aerobics. http://www.vegsource.com/talk/athletes/messages/59618.html but my goal is just to go sweat--sure, you can borrow my motivation, but only at the gym. :!)
There were more typos in the last post and you can't edit responses once they're posted, so I'm just going to repost what I deleted so that it (hopefully) makes sense. Oh, and I added a paragraph.
Back in the day, we would never do any activity that required good form after doing a weight workout. Why? Because if one does a repetitive motion type sport (for me, it was swimming), then one risks injury due to fatigue and muscle breakdown. In my case, if my stroke got sloppy, my chance of shoulder injury would increase. I imagine that if I did a weight workout and then to an aerobics class, I'd increase my risk of injury.
Besides, I think that 1/2 hour on a treadmill/exercise bike/etc hardly counts as "aerobics." It's an aerobic activity that one performs in order to warm up. That is to say, one warms the muscles and gets the heart going. Also, every workout should be followed by a cool down. for me, that could take anywhere between 1/4 to 1/2 hour.
Further, the best kind of weight workout for loosing weight and girth is an aerobic one. That is to say, use light weights and high reps and exercise all muscle groups. All those runners may be scrawny because they're burning fat, but if they never work any other muscle groups, they are going to have flabby muscles. I've heard about the decrease in testosterone among male distance athletes. Professional soccer players are notorious for this. They even have smaller testicles because they spend so much time running around.
Lastly, I don't believe the article you sent suggests a specific order for doing particular exercises except to say that walking in the morning will burn fat more efficiently....I don't think the items listed are meant as a list of things to do in that order.
I've heard it the opposite way--
