Note: Sunburn

ON the ride up my shirt flapped, and rubbed my neck a little raw. Today I went out in the sun and did a little slowwork with the begginners here (however they are spelled.) Aieee! Sunburn over the neck.

I'm going to go back south rather than onto alaska.

I can see why you might want to turn around. Maybe you could take a meandery route back just to have more "walkabout" time? Return via the coastal route, or some such?

Highway 1 is gorgeous if you can take the time for it & it's not too dangerous with idiot drivers passing on a one lane highway.
