Deco Yeah, Dali No.

Art Deco at the Legion of Honor is totaly worthy, including much history and everything from the Egyptology craze to streamline to the disemination of the art to Josephine Baker dancing (topless, even.) in a film. There was commentary on where the art came from, and why it stopped happening, and what it most influenced. Other areas of the museum (Decorated books, etc) pitched in with their own examples. Tres good!

The Dali thing sucked. Basically a gallery attempting to sell prints (signed) and no really good ones, at that.

I must've missed what Dali thing. I didn't realize I liked Dali until I went to the museum near Tampa. Wow. Some of those pictures he did are incredible!

But I'm still not into melting clocks. :-)

There was a scam from a few years back where some hustlers got a batch of the blank canvases he signed, screened prints onto them, and tried to sell them as originals.
