Upcoming Events/Focus
After some discussion and reflection, the focus for the next six months is going to be health and adventure. Unusual, perhaps, but having goals gets you moving.
On the health front, almost all of my problems are weight related. 375 is just too damn much. I carry it well, but it's still being carried. If I can get back to 275, my energy will return; by 250 I should have fully functional knees, back, feet. Sigh. I hate diets....
But I love exercise. Have been spending hours in the pool with TZ, and just swimming. Going to expand this by doing my reading in the gym on the machines; and having more "play dates" (as my nephew would call it, but not, perhaps, my ex roommate.)
This weekend, party for Solstice, so far 5 parties accepted, 4 no thanks. GO down and catch Rutan launch in the Mojave on Monday; back Tuesday, fight, head out Wednesday for the north; Paul class in Bellingham on Saturday; spend time in Seattle, Vancouver, Sunshine Coast, Victoria...head back down for W/A war on July 4 weekend. Come back down, help out with Avon walk and Cent Toad, then War for the Heart. (July 17).
Aug 28 Purg Geoffrey Scott is being knighted, ra!
October is a trip with Mom from Paris to Bordeaux with Elderhostel.
Going to miss a few weddings; ah well. Try to See Deena, Paul, Wiglaf; all in Europe.
Pennsic? Burning Man? East Coast with Brothers? Hmm.
