So, recently I've been having some minor physical problems which I thought were all weight related. Sleep problems, lack of energy...tonight, after this weekend at Lu Crapaud Centisme, Sally (may angels sing her to her glory) pointed out that I have sleep apnea, and probably never recovered from that nasty sinus cold of 3 months back fully.

Man, I hope it's that and not low level heart failure.

In my mind (possibly soaking in De Nile, that brain o' mine) it's a combination of issues. Obviously, the weight is one of them. But stress has reduced, and the weight has been here for about 6 months--I'm not noticabley getting fatter. The issue really seemed to get rolling after spending a lot of time in the pool, which while excellent exercise may have contributed to irritation.

As a test, I took some sinus medicine last night. I woke up earlier, feeling more refreshed, and without a headache (which has been happening recently, but more usually after I exercise). And my mouth didn't taste awful. I'm going to use steam treatments and sinus medicine for a week, and see what the outcome is.

Oh, and my feet were less swollen than usual in the morning.

Thanks for the comments!

Seems to me that the sinus theory is a good place to start. It's all well and good to blame it all on your weight, but unless the timing of the apnea coincides with a weight gain, I would be somewhat skeptical of that as being the primary culprit...

Are you taking anymedication (other than the sinus stuff you took last night)? Some of them can cause foot to swelling.
