I agree; this needs to be said. Especially the last line.

But what I'm not hearing from anyone but Representative Lofgren, is unconditional support for gay marriage. Yes, this is a distraction; it worked. But the core of this distraction was an appeal to bigotry, and I don't see that being taken on in terms that are near to being strong enough.
