slept much of the night: got up paid for another day at the hotel and went for a wander: café to old port to fort st: nicklaus to palace pharo to Notre Dame de la Garde to le Boursin to:::here: Rode the 2 story carousel; claims to be venetian but is molded fiberglas. the arrangement of the horses on curved levers is very cool. had lunch at red erik's walked some more: saw chqteu d'If; where the "man in the iron mask " was imprisoned; it is in the bay: sea is flat air is smoggy very LA feel: saw two dive groups at different locations different tours both ended bording one boat <it is off season here> occasionally hear the comment "boche" yes I look german:

Glad you're having fun so far. Yes, the French keyboards are a real pain if you're a relatively-experienced typist. These days I switch between US & UK keyboards so much (having both at home) that I do it almost automatically, but the French ones still screw me up. Eat good cheese, drink good wine.
