Whine! When I grow old, I shall wear purple

and drink wine at brakfast should I feel like it, and look at the trees.

But I will avoid these five behaviors:

1. Stopping in the crosswalks when the car appears. Go or go back but don't quiver in not knowing!

2. Be so situationally unaware as to hit people with my purse (man bags are showing up now in Marseilles and Lyon) and then complain how rude peple are and fear that they will steal my bag when they push it away.

3. Walk like a victim, timidly moving while carrying a map rather than striding or strolling or stalking. And look at anyone who isn't in a wheelchair like they're going to mug me.

4. Get upset with people for not listening to you as you natter at them without looking. Especially if they like to listen to music on their headphones. Especially if I'm asking for a favor from them.

5. Tell people how much better the world was when I was young while in a graveyard. And persist in calling them "boy" when they're past the age to vote, drink, join the military, be elected president...

5 talents I had that I didn't realize were rare:

1. Orienting myself so I don't have to use the map all the time.
2. Noticing when a helping hand will really help, even if it's paid staff I'm helping.
3. Communicating with no common language but paper and smiles. Who knew the driver was a vintage scoot fan? He's got a vintage 56 vespa and a 57 lambretta! Everyone in a bookstore can read, and Terry Pratchett is a known name.
4. Being able to ignore the weather to a main degree. Wet dry cold warm? Inside the wine is fine, thanks!
5. Packing. It's pretty easy, even if I lose things.

OK, no extra credit. How much of this behavior have I seen in the past 10 days?

Is that a multiple choice question?

Or do you expect an essay

Hmmm....Do they play Peter Etiene on the radio still? I used to love his music. I don't understand it very well, but it brings back fond memories of Paris and the Normandy countryside. Ach. Now you've got me all nostalgic for France....(:
