Perfect weather--puffy clouds ornamenting a clear blue sky, blowing in from the sea.
And people wink and smile here, and take time to help you direct an old man driving a propate car down the sidewalk through the barrier.
And, of course, when I found the American Bookstore, it did have a number of copies of Going Postal. And Neil Stephenson's latest. ANd a copy of Thud (which figures prominantely (sp) in Going Postal). And Knights and Settlers of Catan.
Oh, and frites are a major food group here (hard not to spell it grooup for some reason.) Didn't make it to the museums, but did watch the water and the sun and the houses and the people.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Date: 2004-10-06 09:55 am (UTC)I'm glad you found your books. Don't eat too many pommes. You will stain your books. (: Enjoy the museums (that hardly goes without saying). If you decide to learn Dutch, let me know. It drives me nuts that I can mostly understand it, but can't speak it.
*sigh* I've been having wanderlust. *sigh*
