Stonehenge! Avebury! Villages! Horses!

Learned bunches, like all the horses were recovered for WWII to deny enemy pilots reference points. And visited Stonehenge, but missed Woodhenge, and Avebury has a village built in the circle of stones (which was partially destroyed to make the village). Henge means dikeandditch, (not a lesbian doorbell ring and run, an earthwork construction), and there's a BUNCH of them. Avebury is much better in many ways than Stonehenge.

Found the Bath Maze near the river. Interesting.
Back to London tomorrow...
Update: Just to the North (NE, actually) is Solsbury Hill, an Iron age hill fort site. And the hill in Peter Gabriel's song. May or may not make it there...
