Taught today, mix of English classes.

It makes me happy. Laughing when I walk out of the school, dancing in front of the classes, a show every hour and inquisitive minds asking me questions. "What are you going to be for Halloween, Mr. Schmidt?" "Large." "Are you married, Mr. Schmidt?" "Is that a proposal? "

If only it paid enough to live on...but, I get to do it now.

Every situation is different. But my friend seems to make ends meet and then some. He teaches during the school year and travels over the summer (though this is going to change after he gets married because his wife-to-be isn't comfortable with that). The only extra kind of thing he does is coach some sports. Of course, he has had no dependents up to this point. That probably makes a difference.
