When in trouble, when in doubt;

give them naptime, they'll have less to pout about!

Less drama today, engaging the problem students one on one, giving the class naptime. Freshman still full of vim and vigor (vinegar and sweetness) ("the class I love to hate").

Still feel weak, hammered. Must change the diet somehow. Or get some exercise.

Come dancing this weekend to take your mind off of it? Lovely BAERS Hellfire Ball on Saturday night, if you're interested. *pimpity pimp*

I continue to think about and worry over you every day, even if I don't post. I guess I feel mute before all the stress you're having.

Thank you for your support!

you were very very very helpful with the last job...this one is more special. The people are the best I've ever worked with (literally) and the situation the most messed up. My cry for help was heard, but they're not blocking the door. We'll see what can be done.

I think all schools exist in continual crisis mode.

I suspect that it has a lot to do with location, finances and parent involvement. My son's school has happy teachers who never seem defeated like so many at other schools do. They also have the support of a bajillion stay at home moms with lots of money. I know WvH struggled with things in his last district which are simply not an issue here.

You are exactly the guy I want running herd on teenagers. I don't know if that helps but as both a mother and a former Really Messed Up Kid(tm), you're the kind of person who I'd bet on as most likely to make a difference.
