Alls well that end's well...tomorrow.

First, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shuttergeek for the ride to Road Rider to get the tires on the wheels and the help washing them. Thanks also to [livejournal.com profile] norsebiker and [livejournal.com profile] tugrik for answering stupid questions. Yes, I did get it mostly back together. (Need to put the left mirror on, check the brakes, and figure out what's going on with the stands. Rather than spend $100 on bike lifts or jacks, I spent $26 on ratchet tie downs and eyebolts (labeled "Not for bearing loads or humans") which I then used to pick the bike back up. Slowly. Learning as I went. Back wheel then front (left? Right? huh? wait, this is not like the video...duh, this is a Beemer, they're DIFFRENT.) Got it assembled, need to test it and put all the tools away.

So, new tires, but will need to fix the brake system. I think I'll pay the pros to do that.

And that was pretty much the day. Missed Fezzi's rehearsal, but hey, no way to get there...and I need the bike running. Now to finish up, clean up, and throw out half the garage.

Toodles!

Yay for new tires! (:

I once hung my bike up from the rafters. That's when I was getting the pros to do my suspension (I took the suspension bits out and took them to Aftershocks). Not a BMW fer sure (That'll come later).

Good luck with the brakes!
