You are the person I point to when I want to illustrate the difference between The Order of Chivalry and The Romance of Chivalry. the Order sees Chivalry as something that should be a part of one's actions, to a lesser or greater degree. But the seekers of the Romance of Chivalry (romance in both the modern and the medieval meaning), which to me you exemplify, sees Chivalry as an ideal to immerse onself in, to constantly seek, to idealise and desire, and to treasure each facet of it that you are able to learn. Chivalry is the Grail quest - the seeking is the test of your soul, and the end may never be reached, but is worth seeking all the same.
I love your voice. One day you and I and a lute and a guitar and a harp and a few dozen books of songs are going to spend a long evening that may take all weekend, possibly with a few carefully chosen companions, and we are going to sing everything: period, pop, rock, folk, classic, bubblegum and filk. In fact, I think we should book a date and a place and make it happen. For some weird reason, I've always wanted to visit the Catskills...
I love your passion for food. 'Nuff said - we're on the same wavelength and anything more needs to be said at great length with a full mouth.
