I'm happy.

Taught today, mix of English classes.

It makes me happy. Laughing when I walk out of the school, dancing in front of the classes, a show every hour and inquisitive minds asking me questions. "What are you going to be for Halloween, Mr. Schmidt?" "Large." "Are you married, Mr. Schmidt?" "Is that a proposal? "

If only it paid enough to live on...but, I get to do it now.

I'm glad you found something that makes you happy. Most people never do. I feel the same way after a good meeting with one of my inventors. It's just such an energizing/interesting/fun/learning & teaching experience.

If you like it enough, I bet you could make a decent living at it. For a long time, as I listened to my friends in high tech whine about not being able to purchase property, I watched as my friend from college who teaches elementary school bought one house in Austin and then one in San Jose. Now, he also drives a Lexus. And yes, he's still a school teacher.

So, I bet there's a way to make it work if that's really what you enjoy doing...

I'm glad that you are enjoying the teaching. No, you won't get rich that way, but it depends upon what the trade off in working doing something that you don't like is worth to you :)
